Given that I even write a blog, one could gather that I enjoy some good travels. However, I am also one who does her best for the common good, so I sat tight and worked in a very small bubble since February 2020 when Covid-19 hit the States hard.

That being said, I was dying to go on one of my solo camping road trips again just to brush off the boredom and fog my life had become. "Where could I get away from everything and pretend life was like the before times? " I asked myself (Thinking emoji).

Answer: The great wide heartland of the US and home of Close Encounters, prairie dogs and disillusioned Americans.

(If you are not aware, this area of the US is heavily "red" and I will be honest, it spoiled my mental state being the only one in a 200 mile radius who seemed to even know there was a pandemic occurring. I thought I could keep away from people since I would be camping, but boy was I wrong. I've never felt safer being vaccinated. It wasn't long before I realized how lucky I was to live in a city where 95% of people wore their masks, even haphazardly under their chin. I am not joking when I saw zero locals even pretend to wear one. It was legitimately 2006 everywhere I went.)
